February is a great month on Anna Maria Island, with lots of exciting (and even some new events) happening.
Throughout February
The Village of Arts is a fantastic community event in Bradenton where over 30 artists live and work. They have some great events and activities throughout the month; including a Sweetheart’s Artwork on February 6 & 7th, celebrating romance with Valentine treats and surprises as well as music and great food.

And, the Annual Village of the Arts Studio Tour on Saturday Feb 21st between 11 and 4pm, where you can meet and watch your favorite artists, from painters, sculptors, jewellers, fiber artists, chefs and many more, who will be demonstrating their amazing talents.

This is a free family festival, guaranteeing world-class entertainment and performances that will delight and thrill audiences of all ages. On show will be:
• Hydro-cross jet skis
• Extreme Pogo shows
• BMX stunt performers
• Food Festival
• Kids Zone
• Frisbee dogs
• Falcon 5K River Run & 1-mile Fun Run.

Established over 20 years ago by a small core group of local Artists on Anna Maria Island, the
gallery in Holmes Beach has evolved into a very successful artists’ cooperative of nearly thirty members. Discover paintings, photography, ceramics, stained glass, potters, jewelry, furniture and more, with a different artist featured each month.

For February and with romance in air, the artists are coming together in a month long exhibition, showcasing the art they love most in an exhibit called ‘The Look of Love’ This exhibition will be highlighted by a public reception at the gallery on Friday February 13th between 5.30-7.30pm.
Come and meet many of the gallery artists, enjoy fine art and a toast to Saint Valentine.
14th & 15th February, 2015
There will be music, dancing, nautical arts and crafts, as well as of course, plenty of fresh seafood!
This year’s theme is ‘Grouper groupie’ and celebrates our famous Grouper, a delicious, flaky white fish. A massive 80% of all harvested Grouper in the US is from Florida’s west coast waters, and about a quarter of that comes across the docks in Cortez.
Come and discover more about this fascinating fish and enjoy a great day out. Admission is $3 per adult, with children under 12 free. And, remember you can get the free Trolley Bus from Anna Maria Island to Cortez!
14th February, 2015. Valentine’s Day Soiree & Dance
Sponsored by the Anna Maria Island Preservation Trust and hosted by the Anna Maria Island Community Center, treat your loved one to a night of dancing with the Manatee Swing Band. With a delicious hors d’oeuvres buffet and cash bar, the event is from 7-10pm!

Who wouldn’t love a ‘Night with Neil Diamond’?
Awesome impersonator Bobby Palermo, is coming to the Anna Maria Island Community Center on February 20th, so grab your ticket to the hottest night in town!
With a delicious Buffet Menu served at 6.00pm and served by Danny’s Pizzeria, the show starts at 7.00 until 9.00pm. Tickets are $30 each or $240 for a table of 8, so bring your friends, and your own beer and wine and enjoy all the classics from Neil Diamond and the Vegas Show ‘Legends in Concert’!
